Project Overview

Region: Dubbo, Narromine, and Warrumbungle
LGAs Sector: Public Libraries / Government
Region: Dubbo, Narromine, and Warrumbungle
LGAs Sector: Public Libraries / Government
Macquarie Regional Library serves a diverse and growing population across three Local Government Areas in regional NSW — Dubbo, Narromine, and Warrumbungle. Despite the library’s vital role in community engagement, its brand identity and communication approach hadn’t evolved in step with its digital services and community-first values. The result was a fragmented public presence, low brand recognition, and missed opportunities for meaningful connection.
Challenges
The library’s existing branding was inconsistent across locations and platforms. Each branch operated with varying design elements, tone of voice, and messaging, leading to confusion and weakened community impact.
There was a pressing need to:
- Align visual identity across all branches and platforms
- Create a unified voice for communications
- Develop a strategic framework to engage local communities through targeted messaging
- Build a strong foundation for digital growth

OUR APPROACH
Digilytics undertook a complete brand and communication transformation.
Our process included:
Brand Research & Discovery
We engaged with internal stakeholders, analyzed community sentiment, and audited all brand touchpoints to understand the gaps and opportunities.
Brand Identity Refresh
We crafted a modern visual identity that reflects the library’s evolving role in digital access, lifelong learning, and community connection — ensuring consistency across print, web, signage, and promotional material.
Strategic Messaging Framework
Our team created core messaging pillars that can be tailored to resonate with each LGA’s unique demographics, while maintaining a consistent tone and voice across the brand.
Comprehensive Brand Guidelines
We developed a practical and flexible brand guideline document to empower internal teams and local branches to maintain consistency in all visual and written communications.
Targeted Communications Strategy
A clear roadmap was designed to enhance community engagement through email marketing, event promotion, social media content, and local media collaboration — all aligned with the refreshed brand.
